Work by stages and the site diary
If you were looking for an electronic site diary, this is where it lives: in e-Chantier, progress is not a number added at the end of the week, but a job split into stages, with a percentage, a status and a daily log written on site.
How it works
- 01
Split the job
Define operations and sub-operations, one by one or from a list prepared for the type of work.
- 02
Follow progress
Each stage has a progress percentage and a status: planned, in progress, delayed or completed.
- 03
Write the stage’s daily log
Anyone with access to the stage notes what was done today, with photos and the percentage reached. The log history can be filtered and searched.
- 04
Reread the site’s day
The site’s daily journal gathers the day’s events automatically: attendance, materials, expenses, issues and works, filterable by category.
What else it includes
- Labour cost per operation
- See what labour cost on each operation, not only on the whole site.
- Progress for the client
- Stage progress feeds the internal reports and what the client sees in their portal.
- Points on the plan
- On uploaded plans you can mark points linked to stages or issues, so the team finds the exact spot.
Good to know
- The in-app log keeps a daily record of the work. If the job requires a register in an official format, check the requirements: the app does not replace it automatically.
- Stages proposed by the team may wait for approval before they enter the plan.
Questions about works and the site diary
Is there an electronic site diary?
Yes, at two levels: a log on each stage, filled in by the team with text, photos and a percentage, and the site’s daily journal, which gathers the day’s events automatically.
Who can write in the log?
Anyone with access to that stage. Access is set through roles and permissions.
Does it replace mandatory registers?
Not automatically. The log helps you keep a daily record; the format required by law or by the client has to be checked separately.
