Attendance, from the phone to the site costs
Attendance in e-Chantier is recorded on site, from the phone, and it does not stay a separate list: the same records give you the monthly register, the export for accounting and the labour in the site costs.
How it works

Attendance on site
The site manager marks each person present, or the whole crew at once. For absences you choose the reason: excused, unexcused, day off or sick leave. A person has a single record per day: if they are already recorded on another site, it is not duplicated.

Clock in and out from the worker portal
Workers can clock in and out themselves from their portal, on the phone. When they clock out, the hours are calculated automatically.

Corrections with a reason
Any change to a saved record requires a reason and stays in the history: what changed, who changed it and when. The company decides who may correct attendance: management, the site manager or the site supervisor.

Register and export
The company’s monthly register marks weekends and Romanian public holidays automatically. You export it to PDF, CSV or Excel, and generate a PDF report for any date range.

Labour in the costs
If you entered the employee’s daily cost, the labour from attendance goes into the site expenses automatically.
What else you see
- Who was expected
- If you use the weekly allocation, the app knows who was planned on each site; otherwise it starts from the site team, leaving out weekends and holidays.
- Records left open
- The tracking panel shows who has not been recorded and who clocked in without closing the day.
- Location only with consent
- Location appears on the map only for employees who agreed to share it. Without consent, attendance works as usual.
Good to know
- Attendance is recorded in the app, on a phone, tablet or computer; there is no integration with card-based time clocks.
- Payroll uses the same data, but it is a separate feature (Payroll).
Questions about attendance
Can I record the whole crew at once?
Yes. The site manager marks the whole crew present, and anyone already recorded on another site that day is skipped, not moved.
What if someone records attendance wrongly?
It is corrected with a reason. The change stays in the history, with the old value, the new one, the author and the date.
Can I export attendance for accounting?
Yes. The monthly register exports to PDF, CSV or Excel, with weekends and public holidays marked.
Do I need GPS to use attendance?
No. Location is optional and appears only for employees who gave their consent.
